To be as thoroughly prepared as possible for when your puppy joins your family we have curated a shopping list for essential items that we use and recommend. We encourage you to make these purchases before coming to pick your puppy up for the smoothest possible transition to your home. Please keep in mind your puppies predicated full grown size while you purchase supplies. We are not suggesting that all of these items are absolutely necessary, but want to give you recommendations that we’ve found to be helpful with our own pets.

After much research, this is the dog house we chose to use in our outdoor puppy area. What attracted us --

  • Well insulated

  • Plastic flaps to help keep wind out

  • An extra wall in the  entrance way to protect animals from the cold

  • Lifting top for easier cleaning

  • Adjustable rubber feet to level the house and position it above the ground (if desired) to promote air circulation and protect from chilly ground and wet conditions

We chose to install a doghouse heater (not sold by this company) for additional warmth, because this is where our puppies rest when they're playing outdoors. For an older dog, this would probably be unnecessary,
